Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday and helped make our anniversary such a memorable occasion. It was fantastic to welcome so many familiar faces, along with lots of first-time visitors, all enjoying an afternoon filled with history, music, cream teas, Prosecco and plenty of community spirit.
One of the stars of the day was Mavis, our much-loved former Downham fire engine, who returned to the Centre once again to serve teas and coffees instead of racing to emergencies. She brought back so many happy memories and was a favourite with visitors of all ages.
The 1940s dancing, guided heritage walks and wonderful atmosphere made it a day we’ll remember for a long time. Most of all, it was a celebration of the volunteers, supporters and local community who have helped make the Heritage Centre what it is today.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated, volunteered or simply stopped by to celebrate with us. Here’s to the next ten years! ❤️
Our next event is already on the horizon! Join us for an evening of live ukulele music, great company and delicious jacket potatoes.
