Description
Striking and full of character, this unique pendant is handcrafted from a vintage EPNS (Electroplated Nickel Silver) sugar sifter, carefully transformed into an elegant piece of wearable art. Once used in the Victorian and early 20th-century tradition of afternoon tea, sugar sifters were designed to finely dust sugar over cakes and pastries—a small but elegant symbol of domestic refinement and social ritual.
The original decorative detailing of the silverware is preserved, giving each pendant its own distinctive pattern and historic charm. The sugar sifter measures approximately 4.5cm in length, making it a perfectly balanced and wearable statement piece. Suspended on a quality 60 cm (approx) silver chain, the design blends heritage styling with contemporary elegance, ideal for both everyday wear and special occasions. With a small stone hanging centrally, no two pieces are exactly alike, ensuring every pendant is completely individual.
Lovingly created by Maisie Makes Treasures, each piece reflects skilled craftsmanship and a passion for breathing new life into vintage cutlery.
Supplied with a soft jewellery pouch and cleaning cloth to keep your piece looking its best.
