Learning and Education at Discover Downham

Discover Downham is a Centre of learning and education, committed to the Learning Good Practice Guidance as set out by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

There are a variety of ways that your school can visit us at Discover Downham.

Our Learning Team is dedicated to bringing topics across the National Curriculum to life through exciting new events and workshops. We are currently developing a varied and exciting programme tailored across the Key Stages, to be launched from September 2016. This will also include a variety of teacher resource packs and further information to be used in the classroom.

**Discover Downham will be holding a number of focus groups with teachers, after school time, during the Summer Term 2017, to determine how we can best meet school curriculum needs. If you would like to be a part of these focus groups please do get in touch as we would love to hear from you.**

You can bring your students on a teacher led visit to explore our permanent display collections which mainly focus on local history.

Parking - there is a free car park right next to the Centre for mini bus parking and/or coach drop off point.

Lunch space - we hope to be able to provide a lunch space for your students. Please enquire about available spaces when booking.

Access - The Centre is fully accessible, being all on one floor level with accessible toilets.
